Victims of family violence and sexual assault are eligible for services without regard to the following:
1. income;
2. ability to contribute, donate, or pay
for services;
3. age, race, or national origin,
4. political beliefs or religion,
5. gender or sexual orientation;
6. type of victimization, including
victimization by the sex industry;
7. disabilities, as defined by the
Americans with Disabilities Act;
8. number of previous times services
have been sought from this
organization or other domestic
violence programs;
9. cultural barriers of this organization,
including language; or
10. number of children accompanying
the victim.

CRISIS INTERVENTION AND ADVOCACY
Hutchinson County Crisis Center provides Crisis Intervention 24 hours/day, 7 days/week via the 24-hour crisis hotline and via accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutors’ offices, and courts. Advocacy services include services on behalf of a survivor with third parties (e.g., schools, employers, law enforcement agencies, housing authorities, health care professionals, prosecutors’ offices and courts). Walk-ins welcome during normal business hours Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m, and 1 p.m – 5p.m. For emergency response on evenings/weekends, call the 24-hour hotline at 1-806-273-2313. Crisis Intervention and Advocacy services are available free to victims of family violence, child abuse, and adult and child survivors of stranger and non-stranger sexual assault.
EMERGENCY SHELTER (Safe House)
Secured home with complete living area and fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, 24-hour staff on duty, and 24-hour alarm system.
ACCOMPANIMENT TO HOSPITALS, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICES, PROSECUTORS’ OFFICES AND COURTS
Hutchinson County Crisis Center provides in-person support, assistance and provision of information about crime victims’ rights during the survivor’s interaction with medical and criminal justice professionals at hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutors’ offices and courts. These services are available to victims of family violence, child abuse, and adult and child survivors of stranger and non-stranger sexual assault. Hospital accompaniment services are available for survivors of sexual violence for sexual assault medial forensic exams 24/hours day, 7 days/week. In addition the center provides transportation and accompaniment to Children’s Advocacy Centers for forensic interviews.
COUNSELING & SUPPORT GROUPS
We offer individual counseling for adults and children in English and Spanish from trained peer counselors on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault. Counseling referrals are available.
LEGAL & SOCIAL SERVICES
We assist victims in understanding their legal rights and options and provide assistance in obtaining legal resources, including protective orders and legal representation. Information, referral, and accompaniment services are available to assist victims in obtaining other needed legal, medical, and social services.
TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, CLOTHING & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Individuals and organizations donate food, clothing and household items to the center. These items are given to clients free of charge. Transportation services are provided to clients, and emergency financial assistance is also available to help clients with rent/utilities or medication.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
We help educate the community by offering free seminars and public speaking engagements to businesses, organizations, churches, or other interested groups on subjects of domestic violence or sexual assault. Education is available to increase knowledge of the dynamics of family violence and sexual violence, the causes and consequences, and of services available through the family violence and sexual assault programs. We also provide educational training with elementary, junior high, high school, and college students on personal safety, bullying, internet safety, domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault.
